Art and science combine in this beautifully illustrated and thoroughly researched native plant guide that is written specifically for the greater New Orleans area. The plants chosen are suited to both the unique environmental character of southeast Louisiana and the overlying urban construct. Susan Norris-Davis has a B.S. in Biology from Lewis and Clark College in Portland, OR, and a B.F.A in Visual Arts from the University of New Orleans. She has worked locally with native plants for the past 25 years. She is deeply committed to the natural world as a continuing presence in our lives concurrent with our technological development.

Amelia Wiygul graduated from Tulane University in 2020 with a B.A. in Environmental Studies and a B.A. in Studio Arts. A native of Ocean Springs, MS, she now lives and works in New Orleans.
