This classic text offers a thorough, clear and methodical introductory exposition of the mathematical theory of fluid motion, useful in applications to both hydrodynamics and aerodynamics. Applied mathematician Louis Melville Milne-Thomson (1891-1974) taught for several decades at the Royal British Naval Academy in Greenwich. In his retirement he served as a visiting professor at research facilities around the world.
