"Readers of Liz Curtis Higgs’ books will not be disappointed in this latest volume....As the story unfolds, readers meet Mary of Nazareth and learn what she might have been thinking about.  At the crucifixion readers see not only Mary, Jesus’ mother, but also Mary Magdalene and other women.  It is interesting that only the women stayed at the feet of Jesus while he was on the cross and women who went to where he lay to find the tomb empty.  When he rose on the third day, it was a woman, Mary Magdalene, which Jesus showed himself to.  After Jesus showed himself to the disciples and rose to his father, the disciples went to the upper room.  With them were Mary of Nazarene and other women.  Were Mary of Bethany and Mary Magdalene with them?  We don’t know, but there is a likelihood the women would be there.
