Praise For…

“You can hear the blood drip in these lovely, twisted stories of
darkness and glee. Snuggle down, turn on your reading light, and let them
invade your imagination. Just don’t forget to lock the doors and windows first! Lyn
Ford’s delightfully ghoulish stories will make your spine tingle, and your heart skip.
Deliciously fractured tales.”

— Donna Washington, storyteller and workshop leader

“Deliciously scary stories for grown folks, these haunting characters will stay with you.
For those who write, Lyn generously provides sources, motifs and story-crafting exercises
guaranteed to jump start your creativity. This small book of finely crafted tales is a
‘must have’ for storytellers and story lovers.”

— Jane Crouse, Universal Storyteller

“A must-have book if you want to expand your technique of crafting stories, achieve an
authentic voice, and tell stories successfully. Lyn Ford shares strategies she has used to
make her stories more attention-grabbing, audience enveloping, and thought provoking.”

— Steve Kardaleff, former executive director, National Storytelling Network

“These tales are deliciously dark and not for the faint of heart. Lyn’s brilliant and bold
twists and turns and ins and outs breathe new life into old stories that grab a hold of us
and won’t let go.”

— Joyce Slater, artistic director, Kansas City Storytelling Celebration
