Rudolf Abraham (rudolfabraham.com) is an award-winning travel writer and photographer specialising in Central and Eastern Europe - in particular, Croatia and Slovenia. He has regularly visited both countries since the late 1990s, and still spends several weeks a year in both. He writes about hiking, outdoor adventure, art, culture, family travel and sustainable tourism. He is the author of a dozen books - several of which focus on Slovenia or Croatia, but also covering Chile, Montenegro and the UK - published variously by Bradt (for whom his books comprise Slovenia, Croatia, Croatia: Istria and Alpe-Adria Trail), Cicerone, DK Eyewitness and Rough Guides. His writing and photography are published in publications including Family Traveller, BBC Countryfile, Geographical, Hidden Europe, The Guardian, The Independent, JRNY Magazine, Lonely Planet, National Geographic Traveller UK, The Telegraph and Wanderlust.
