About the Author


Michael Gunton is the Creative Director of Factual and The Natural History Unit for BBC Studios. Within this role, Michael works as an executive producer on many BBC titles and is responsible for bringing new and pioneering stories about the natural world to global audiences. Michael's recent series include the record-breakingPlanet Earth II, winner of 4 BAFTAs and 2 Emmys, followed by the ground breaking animal behavior series
Dynasties. In 2022 he turned his attention to the world of plants inThe Green Planetand the world of dinosaurs with ThePrehistoric Planet.

Jonny Keeling has worked at the BBC Natural History Unit since 1996 producing and directing wildlife and adventure documentaries. These includePlanet Earth,Planet Earth II, andPlanet Earth IIIandDavid Attenborough's Life of Mammals. He was head of the Children's Natural History Unit for 7 years and executive producer on the BAFTA and Emmy award winning Seven Worlds, One Planet. In 2021, BBC Studios announced Jonny as the 14th Head of the Natural History Unit.

Matt Brandon is a BAFTA winning series producer responsible for delivering a broad range of highly successful natural history and adventure documentaries for broadcasters including BBC, Disney+, National Geographic, Discovery Channel, and Animal Planet. He has produced series about Australia, the Caribbean, and the Indian Ocean with explorer Simon Reeve. Matt's recent landmark shows includeCities: Nature's New Wildfor the
Natural History Unit, andSuper/Naturalfor Disney + and National Geographic, executive produced by James Cameron.
