Description

A complete product is made by joining multiple components by an interactive process named assembly. This process includes assembling and putting together of finished parts and or partially assembled units resulting in a final and complete product. Quality may be defined as the conformance to requirements or the degree to which the product's specifications are obtained at each dimensions. An assembly is a collection and mating up of multiple components or subcomponents that determine the quality of the product. The quality of those mating parts may then depend on the clearance or interference between them. When the components have relative motion between them, the performance of this movement with precision and ease of movement will become an important issue in assembly design.
