Description

Daisy's father raised her to think differently, to think beyond life in their small town. Maybe that's why she never fit in, why people keep her at arm's length. Or maybe it's her scarred face and broken body.

One day, Daisy discovers an unexpected friend in Brogan, a newcomer with model-perfect looks and an internationally famous father. Sent to live with his grandparents for his junior year, he's not exactly thrilled to find himself living in "Forsakensville," either.

Both teens harbor secrets. In a vivid dream world, Daisy is an accomplished warrior, fierce and free. And despite being trained in martial arts his whole life, Brogan keeps running into unfriendly, otherworldly voices he doesn't know how to fight.

Nothing is as it seems as darkness and light converge in an alternate world where Daisy and Brogan discover more about each other-and themselves-than they bargained for.
