As Wilumina's mother is laid to rest, her husband encourages her to step outside. A walk would be a welcome relief from the well-wishers and busybodies offering her sympathy or worse...

The walk behind the cemetery was like stepping back in time. Shadows of pain, a different pain, calling her back. An alleyway cursed but out of reach. A well. And a voice calling to her. Beckoning her back...

Waiting for her was the most unlikely of characters. Her role was to take Wilumina on a journey to the deepest recesses of her past. To touch the edges of a long-forgotten pain that clouded her nightmares and locked her in place. The goal, to set her free.

If only Wilumina would be brave enough to go.
